Long Beach guest bath

A pedestal basin and no storage at all, in a room that also had to hold towels for the house. A 48-inch floating vanity took its place and the tile stopped at head height instead of halfway up the wall.

How it was done

A guest bathroom untouched since the house was built. The floating vanity was the decision that made the room: at 48 inches with the drawers underneath, the floor reads whole rather than cut in half, and that is most of why a small bathroom feels bigger.

Two days on site, one of them waiting on the top. Quartz with an undermount basin means the template happens after the vanity is fixed, so plan the trade order backwards from that or the plumber comes twice.
